Reported LFC target Kai Havertz could move next summer, according to Bayer boss

Liverpool have previously been linked with a move for Bundesliga talent Kai Haverz, and it now seems inevitable that he’ll leave Bayer by the end of the season.

Manager Peter Bosz has admitted that he doesn’t have a say in the lad’s future, and of course Bayern Munich are sniffing around.

But Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be in the race for the talented youngster, as per the Daily Mirror.

Havertz hasn’t got a clue what he’s going to do, as the same report quotes an interview he gave to Bild in which he had no solid answers.

I really don’t know yet whether Bayern is the next and right step for me,” he said.

I also don’t know whether foreign countries would not be more suitable for me. I really don’t think too much about it at the moment.

Honestly, if he’s that unsure about his next step then I’d suggest he consider staying with Bayer for at least another year.

That being said, with 20 goals to his name last season and a nomination for the Golden Boy Award, I’d welcome him with open arms at Liverpool.

And it’s some quotes from the Bayer boss that has turned heads recently. As per Bild Sport (as per the same Mirror report), he said he can’t control what Havertz does next.

Of course I would like to keep him, just as I would have liked to keep Julian Brandt, for example,” Bosz said. “Kai is only 20 and still has room for improvement. I can help him there.

But it is like this, at the end the player himself must feel when he is ready for the next step. Nobody can decide that for him.
