Gini Wijnaldum gives his verdict on whether Reds can match Arsenal’s Invincibles season

Reds midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, who is expected to start the game against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow, says the Reds could go the season unbeaten this year, but his teammates are not too concerned about it from week to week.

He said, via the Daily Express“It is possible. Nobody knows how it’s going to be. We try to do everything as good as possible, to work as hard as possible.

“Every game in the Premier League is tough. Look at the results we have had. I can’t remember a game where it was easy. We have won them all so far because we give everything and were totally concentrated. Also, we have had a little bit of luck.

“We don’t think about the fact that Arsenal did not lose in that season. We just try to give everything in every game.”

Wijnaldum could line up against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as part of a midfield three, alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

The experienced James Milner is also a viable option, and Klopp does like to include the 33-year-old in big games, though the Dutchman is in fine form at the moment.

Naby Keita is also now fit again having missed a lot of the first part of the season through injury.

The Guinean will hope to feature heavily over the next few weeks, though throwing him in at the deep end against Manchester United would be a significant challenge.

Jurgen Klopp and his players will be aiming to make it nine wins from nine in the Premier League so far this season tomorrow afternoon, in what should be an intriguing encounter.
