“It won’t be 30 years” – Solskjaer aims dig at LFC & claims Man Utd will win title soon

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has fired a shot at Liverpool ahead of the big Premier League clash this weekend.

The Norwegian is well aware of the Red Devils’ atrocious start to the season, but has issued some fighting talk ahead of their biggest test of the season.

United have won 13 league titles since Liverpool were last crowned Champions of England in 1990, and Ole has backed his team to bounce back in less than 30 years.

I am sure we will bounce back and win the league,he’s quoted as saying by the Telegraph. “And I am sure it won’t be 30 years until the next Premier League that we do win.

It’s a brave thing for the United boss to say, given their abysmal start to the season, and these quotes will look slightly more daft if the Reds hammer their fierce rivals.

Solskjaer believes that a good result against Liverpool can be the turning point of their season, however optimistic that may seem right now.

A good performance and result for us here can turn a season,” he reasons. “It can change players’ confidence, players’ mood, their perception of what is good,” he added.

Maybe they haven’t really believed they are good enough at times. With a lack of confidence, you think twice instead of acting on instinct. But I know these players are good enough – no worries about that.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Ole’s employment at Old Trafford may come under fire, if they suffer a heavy defeat to Liverpool this weekend.

Whichever way the cookie crumbles, the Norwegian’s latest quotes could look silly in a few years!
