Man Utd fan set for life-time ban after racially abusing Trent Alexander-Arnold

A Manchester United supporter is facing the possibility of a life-time ban from Old Trafford, after being kicked out of the stadium over the weekend.

The Red Devils held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon, but the fixture was tarnished by the actions of this idiot.

As per the Telegraph, security personnel ejected a fan after the person repeatedly shouting “you black c*nt” at the 21-year-old Scouser.

Fellow United fans are said to have reported the behaviour of this abhorrent person immediately and called for their removal from the stadium.

The club have since launched an investigation into the matter and could serve the supporter a life-time ban of Old Trafford for their actions. The club have also contacted the Greater Manchester Police.

It’s a positive thing that United have taken such a strong stance against this kind of behaviour – it seems natural enough to punish these sort of people, but often they go on without retaliation.

Just take a look at what happened to Romelu Lukaku when he stepped up to take a penalty against Cagliari a few weeks ago – the people involved in that were not punished, nor ejected from the stadium.

Racism is a serious problem in the game, and it cannot continue being something that the powers that be brush off – so well done to United for taking the steps to serve up some justice.
