Worrying Mo Salah news breaks after Egyptian bags winner v Spurs

Liverpool beat Spurs 2-1 today at Anfield, with Mo Salah bagging the winner from the penalty spot.

But very annoyingly, the Egyptian had to be subbed late on following an ankle injury.

Mirror journalist Dave Maddock claims our no.11 is now a doubt for the Manchester City game, on November 10.

He wouldn’t have started v Arsenal midweek anyway, but it would be fantastic to have him v Aston Villa next weekend.

Maddock reckons this is doubtful, which means Divock Origi will likely start in his place.

Sadio Mane will shift to the right and the Belgian will play from the left, with Roberto Firmino as a false-nine.

We struggled without Mo v Manchester United, so will have to create opportunities without his pace and guile down the right flank.

Now, we’re just praying for good news on his injury. There’s a chance it’s just a knock – and Salah normally comes back quite fast.
