There’s an interesting tweet on the verge of going viral from Simon Hughes, right now.
The journalist has explained how Juventus officials said, when asked if they were watching any Liverpool players at Anfield on Sunday, that they simply couldn’t afford one!
There were rumours about the Italians scouting Mo Salah [Daily Mail], but we assumed they were nonsense and it seems this much has been proven.

There is no way Liverpool would even consider any of the starting XI, or in truth, most of our bench, either!
Jurgen Klopp, Michael Edwards and co. have carefully curated a brilliant group that not only won the Champions League last season, but is capable of winning plenty more this season and in the future.
Seven of our current bunch have been nominated for the Ballon d’Or, in fact.
So the Juve official is spot on. For the first time in a while, nobody wants to leave and we’re on a level playing field with any top side in Europe when it comes to competing for top honours and acquiring the best players.
