This is actually mad!
Champions League winning forward Divock Origi last night had his first shot in the competition’s history that didn’t result in a goal.
That’s according to Duncan Alexander on Twitter:
For the first time in his career Divock Origi has had a shot in the CL and it hasn't gone in [to the net, aka a goal]https://t.co/x3FxrBCjXh

The Belgian had an effort v Genk in the final minutes of the first-half that skewed wide – and according to the stats expert – it’s the only time one of his Champions League efforts hasn’t results directly in a goal.
Last season, Origi scored twice v Barcelona in the semi-final and once in the Final v Spurs – and had no failed attempts in between!
Origi actually played very well last night – and it was probably his best performance of the campaign where he hasn’t come off the bench – bar maybe the Arsenal game last week.
He’s proving to be an able backup to our front-three, and considering our fixture schedule in November, December and January, he’s going to play a massive role.
