Manchester City were forced to put defender Kyle Walker in goal in their Champions League stalemate with Italian outfit Atalanta this week.

No.1 Ederson was taken off at half-time for precautionary reasons, with Pep Guardiola obviously keeping an eye on this weekend’s game, and was replaced by Claudio Bravo, but he was sent off with ten minutes to go.

With the Citizens out of options, they were forced to bring on Walker as a makeshift goalkeeper to see out the game.

The Englishman faced a Atalanta free-kick, and to be fair, he done well to keep hold of it, but football fans online have reacted to the fact City were forced into the scenario.

Even if Ederson isn’t fit enough to play at Anfield at the weekend, Bravo’s red card doesn’t carry over to the Premier League so he could stand in if need be it.
