Jordan Henderson will start: How the Reds are expected to line up against Manchester City

Jordan Henderson has returned from an illness that saw him miss the game against Genk on Tuesday night and will start for the Reds against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, according to The Times, ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Reds captain will be joined in midfield by Fabinho, who was left out against Aston Villa last weekend with the threat of a ban hanging over him, and Gini Wijnaldum, who opened the scoring in the Champions League game this week.

Jurgen Klopp will then have the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Divock Origi and Adam Lallana to choose from off the bench.

Expected LFC starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino
