LFC target Jadon Sancho dragged off & criticised by Dortmund boss

Jadon Sancho was hauled off by his manager Lucien Favre last night, as Borussia Dortmund were humbled 4-0 by Bayern Munich.

The teenager lasted just 36 minutes and according to Favre, his substitution was down to poor performance and not an injury.

“He was not injured, he trained yesterday. I had to go on what I was seeing and, to be honest, it was not good enough,” Favre said, reported in the Mail.

Sancho has been linked heavily to Liverpool as a potential summer 2020 addition, with the Guardian claiming the winger is a genuine target.

We think Sancho will be the perfect addition before the 2020/21 season, due to his versatility across the frontline, potential for improvement and current attributes.

He’s mighty fast, skilful, technical and more importantly, under Jurgen Klopp – could develop into one of the best players in the world.

Aged 19, it wouldn’t be unreasonable for him to initially play a rotation role alongside our already brilliant attackers – before eventually claiming an automatic starting role in our best XI.

The likes of Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Rhian Brewster have potential, but in reality all three are a big drop off in compared to our best attackers – and another elite forward would be a great addition.
