Liverpool take on Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League this weekend, in what will be the spectacle of the first half of the season.
A win for the Reds would mean opening up an eight point gap at the top of the table, with Leicester City and Chelsea both ahead of the Citizens.
City are actually considered favourites, likely because they simply cannot afford to lose, despite the fact Liverpool are unbeaten at home in the competition since 2017. The run stretches over 50 matches, but the Manchester City match odds suggest the Sky Blues have a chance – something as Liverpool fans – we disagree with!
Pep Guardiola has spoken to the press ahead of his team’s trip to Merseyside, and it was somewhat of a tense affair with the Spaniard looking flustered by the line of questions.
One query in particular seemed to rattle the City boss – he was asked if the accusations of his players committing tactical fouls is fair.

Guardiola’s response to the Mirror journalist visibly shows that he’s irked by suggestions that his team aren’t playing fairly.
As mentioned in the video, City have been accused of committing tactical fouls by a host of Premier League manager – including rivals Jurgen Klopp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Whether Pep’s men are doing what they’ve been accused of isn’t for us to say, but one thing we know is the visitor’s fate if they fail to secure all three points at Anfield.
While we could go nine points clear of City with a win, a loss for the Reds would see our title rivals climb to just three points off us – it’s so important we don’t let that happen!
