Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is up for a number of awards at the moment, and it now appears that he’s up for another one with GOAL 50 on the horizon.

GOAL have spoken with former Celtic team-mate Scott Brown and manager Neil Lennon about big Virg, and his old boss described him as the “best in the world”.

The centre half is one of the favourites for the Ballon d’Or award, which will be announced in the next three weeks, and what Lennon says may be confirmed by his fellow pros!
