Dejan Lovren had another excellent game in central defence v Manchester City, as he’s done before.
The Croat gets his fair share of stick, but yet again, his patience has won himself a spot back in the starting XI that will now be his to lose following a good run of form.
His best moment v City on Sunday at Anfield was when he blocked Raheem Sterling’s shot from the edge of the area, despite already being on the floor.
In the clip below, you’ll see Lovren’s team-mates elated with the defensive effort – none more so than his partner for the day Virgil van Dijk – who out of pure appreciation – shoves him in the back and offers a high five before they set up to stop the corner!
