Chelsea star Tammy Abraham admits he studies Roberto Firmino to improve his game

Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has admitted that he studies world class strikers from around Europe to improve his game, and Roberto Firmino is one of them.

The England international has done better than anyone could have expected since starting regularly for Chelsea, but he still looks up to others for inspiration.

For me in my spare time I go on YouTube and watch all the best strikers in the world play in this competition [Champions League], stealing their ideas and adding it to my game,he’s quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

I watch so many players. Harry Kane, [Sergio] Aguero, [Roberto] Firmino, these are Premier League strikers obviously but also [Robert] Lewandowski and all sorts and players who have played in this competition before.

It’s definitely not a bad thing that the lad looks at different types of striker, but his playing style, I’d say, is closer to that of Harry Kane and Roberto Lewandowski.

Obviously it’s flattering that one of the Premier League’s leading goal-scorers this season looks up to Bobby – and I’m sure the Brazilian will like the idea.

It’s nice that he hasn’t left out Firmino, as a lot of fans seem to think because he doesn’t score every week, he must be a bad striker – when that really isn’t the case.

Chelsea and England fans could be in for a treat, if he picks up on a few of Bobby’s tricks!
