Liverpool predicted XI v. Everton – Milner to start the Merseyside Derby

Liverpool are set to take on Everton in the Premier League tonight in what should be an interesting clash given both team’s forms.

The Blues are teetering on the edge of the relegation zone while the Reds are sat atop the table with only two points dropped all season.

On paper, this game is lining up to be a whitewash for Liverpool, but we know that is just never the case with the Merseyside Derby.

We’ve got a few issues coming into this game, and that’s a suspension for Alisson, meaning Adrian will step in for the Brazilian, and injuries to both Joel Matip and Fabinho.

Dejan Lovren is likely to keep his place in the back line, alongside Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

I’d tip James Milner to start in midfield, with Jordan Henderson moving into the No.6 role, and Gini Wijnaldum making up the trio. That being said, it’s entirely possible that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain steps up for the Reds tonight.

Up top, it’ll be none other than Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino.

This Merseyside Derby could hold an extra bit of weight for Marco Silva, as his job is seemingly not as safe as he’d like it to be at the moment.
