Pep Guardiola talks about Liverpool yet again post-match as Man City beat Burnley

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola just can’t help himself – his team have just secured comfortable win against Burnley, and Liverpool are on his lips yet again.

This time he is talking about the amount of fixtures both clubs played last season, and the Reds’ busy schedule this year.

He said that Liverpool are in debit because City played ten more games than us last season – in the FA and League Cup, trophies they won.

Last year we played 10 games more than Liverpool so don’t worry, they are in debit,” he is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.

He’s turned into a bit of a bitter man – I don’t remember him being this sour last season, but now we’re ahead of them in the Premier League, he isn’t happy.

City closed the gap between the two club to just eight measly points last night, but the Reds will have a chance to rectify that with a victory against rivals Everton.

It’s impossible to write City off at any stage this season, but it does appear as if Leicester City may the club to give us a run for our money this year.

That being said, it is still early December, and we’ve led at Christmas before to only go on and not win it – so let’s wait and see.
