Every fanbase has some supporters who are idiots, including ours.
If you read some of the comments on our Facebook page when Jurgen Klopp announces his team every week, you’ll have some idea of what we’re talking about…
And before we discuss this video, it’s important to say that the vast, vast majority of Everton fans have supported Liverpool in regards to the Hillsborough tragedy ever since it happened, and continue to do so.
After all – it didn’t just happen to our club – but to the city.
Which makes these two ladies pretending to ‘push,’ in reference to the disaster, all the more horrible.
Some have suggested the action actually references Heysel, and Liverpool fans pushing down a wall – which doesn’t make it any less reprehensible considering people died in both tragedies.
Liverpool supporters were obviously giving them stick after the 5-2, but does it call for this response?!
And on a night where Everton fans held aloft a JFT96 banner and joined in the minute’s applause at the start of the match.
Mindless.
