That was again the case as Liverpool beat a feisty Norwich in the Premier League this weekend – the Canaries were more than up for it in the first-half especially.
However, a late Sadio Mane winner confirmed a 1-0 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, who are still unbeaten and now sit 25 points clear at the top of the table with 12 games remaining – surely a position that guarantees a first title in 30 years.
Alisson’s ability to arrive in the big moments has been characteristic of his season – and this one-handed, clawed save displayed his incredible physical attributes and his calmness under pressure.

Mane was the other star-performer, despite starting on the bench – and gave Liverpool a lead with 12 minutes remaining.
Like many other games this term, Liverpool rarely got out of first-gear; instead preferring to control the pace of the match in the belief that when the offensive moment came, one of the world-class forwards would bury it.
Mane is equally devastating on either foot and his precise touch following by power finish displayed both his skill and dynamism.
The effort was Mane’s 100th goal in English football, but this was news to the Senegalese, who was delighted when informed in the post-match interview.

Five more wins will now confirm Liverpool as champions, although this is under the impression Manchester City win their remaining 13, unlikely given their odd form in 2019/20.
For Liverpool, the question now turns to where and when Jordan Henderson will be able to lift the trophy. Many fans would prefer Anfield, but away fixtures against Everton and City in March provide equally tantalising options.
“The gap is so insane, I don’t really understand it,” Klopp told Sky Sports. “I am not smart enough. I have not had that before. It is outstanding, so difficult.
“I go back into the changing room and we chat about the things and then I am like ‘Oh, but congratulations. We won the game, another three points.'”
Next up for Klopp’s rampant Reds is Watford – and with Liverpool now unbeaten for 43 games in the top flight – they are closing in on Arsenal’s all-time record of 49.
