(Images) More VAR controversy as Spurs goal stands; rapid decision shows inconsistency in LFC games

Posted by

The use of VAR in the Premier League has got fans and pundits up in arms on a weekly basis these days, and Spurs’ Anfield visit was of course no different.

Son Heung-min bagged in the first-half, but there was a hint of offside in the South Korean’s run-up to goal.

VAR conducted a check, which took about 15 seconds, a stark contrast to the 4-5 minutes taken to review an offside call in the Merseyside Derby earlier this season.

It’s our opinion both goals we’re talking about should have stood, but the inconsistencies with the use of VAR in the Premier League needs to stop.

  1. Have you ever wonder why Liverpool are the best outside England? just because there are no bad officials in the UCL if there is, its not like it was in the epl. Some bad officials in epl bodied themselves in the name of var. But come to think of wrong offside call on mane vs everton, wrong penalty decision for Brighton against Liverpool, wrong offside call on mo salah, cancellation of Liverpool late goal against everton..many more. VAR are not promoting EPL but jeopardising it
