One Manchester United fan was almost at a loss for words in the wake of the Red Devils’ humiliating 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford at the weekend at the hands of traditional rivals Liverpool.
Speaking to the United Way post-game, the supporter in question suggested that his club should have forfeited the tie at half-time to ensure a more respectable scoreline.
It’s a somewhat bizarre suggestion for a number of reasons – primarily due to the fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were already down by four goals (without reply) by the time Anthony Taylor blew his whistle for the break.
