Sadio Mane wasn’t present for all the post-match pictures and celebrations and some supporters appear to know why.
An image taken of our three goalkeepers; Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher and Adrian, caught our No.10 in the background and it appeared that he was carrying a prayer rug.
Being a devout Muslim, the Senegalese winger appeared to have missed much of the trophy celebrations as he took part in his daily prayers.
His religious beliefs were also clear when the 29-year-old asked Takumi Minamino not to spray any drink near him and then retreated with Jurgen Klopp once the spraying celebrations began.
Our squad is made up of many different nationalities and beliefs and it’s great that they can all interact and play together so well, whilst also respecting each other.
It’s also testament to Jurgen Klopp to make the dressing room feel so open and inclusive, in what is a real credit to our football club.

Sadio Mane does not need to pray immediately after the game. Manne could have joined his teammates to celebrate. He looks like a odds man out in the team. Last time he was not act like that without respect to his teammates. He can pray the missed prayers anytime later within the same day.

He prays when he wants to and has to not when you want him to!?
No, that is not right for you to say that. Every Muslim prays 5 times a day and it is obligatory to pray during the respected prayer time. It is a sin if he purposely postpone or miss a prayer or add his missed prayer to do at other time. He is only permitted to add one prayer time to the next prayer time if he is a traveller but he cannot collect all his missed prayer to do them one short at other time. What Mane did was his right to perform his prayer during its duration or else he will miss it which is not right for a Muslim to do so.
Respecting each other and not being selfish is and should be our priority towards those who give their all for our beloved team
