The Brazilian pulled off a stunning point-blank save to block Rhys Williams’ close-range header in the box – much to the surprise of 21-year-old defender.
The Merseysiders signed off their travels with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace to make up for the disappointment of defeat tasted against bitter rivals Manchester United in Bangkok.
