Andy Robertson attracted the ire of Tyler Adams after fouling Brenden Aaronson and booting the ball at him.
The two Americans made their thoughts clear, however, the former Hull City man kept his cool and avoided a booking, though couldn’t help appearing to invite one of the Leeds stars to sort out their dispute one-on-one away from the crowd of players.
The Merseysiders recovered well after a poor pass from Joe Gomez gifted Jesse Marsch’s men an easy opener in the opening four minutes of action at Anfield.
