Virgil van Dijk breaks exciting Liverpool news he’s heard inside the club

Liverpool fans have been tortured with several rumours this season that Jurgen Klopp could be about to walk away from Anfield but, thanks to Virgil van Dijk, we now have a positive update on the boss.

When asked if he was excited to play under the German next season, the 31-year-old said to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg: ‘Of course! Jürgen Klopp is the boss & that doesn’t change. I‘m very happy with him.

‘He‘s very happy at #LFC. Hopefully better times are coming again. That’s we are working for’.

It did seem that most of our supporters assumed that the 55-year-old would never leave us before his contract came to an end but the more you hear these stories, the more you start to think that they could be true.

This update from Virgil van Dijk is great though as it shows that he has the full confidence of the players (and obviously the supporters) and that they are all looking forward to the future with him.

This may be a bad campaign but we’ve had more than enough fantastic ones that we can allow a blip, having said this though we could still finish in the top four and that can never be considered as a huge failure.

If there were any fears of the future of our club, hearing that both Virgil van Dijk and Jurgen Klopp are in this for the long haul should only heap on confidence for what the next few years will provide.

  1. It doesn’t matter what Virgil says, if FSG decide that Klopp ain’t done enough this season they’ll sack him and as Virgil ain’t in the board room he has no idea what they’re discussing.
My opinion would be that if we don’t get into top 5 then Klopp leaves, this is because facts from previous teams he has managed point to an exit.
FC Mainz 7years at that club in final year was struggling so he left,
Borrusia Dortmund 7 years at that club, in last 18 months was struggling so came to us
Liverpool FC started in 2016, this being his 7th year and we are struggling like hell to even compete with Crystal Palace ffs 🤦‍♂️

    1. Disagree with you there, Klopp will at least rebuild the team before he leaves. He hasn’t done all that work since he’s come in to walk away now when the team is ageing.
It’s all on FSG now to back the Man at the helm. The man who has brought glory back to the club during his time and has at least trippled the Value of the club during that time.
If FSG do not back their manager their asset will slide down the table and lose value
