This season has been somewhat of a role reversal for Liverpool and Arsenal with the Reds struggling to secure European football and the Gunners aiming for an unlikely Premier League title, leading to some from AFTV mocking our fortunes.
Speaking outside Anfield ahead of our Easter Sunday clash, the pundits gathered were discussing the work that’s currently being completed on the Anfield Road End stand that will increase the capacity of the stadium.
Host Robbie Lyle then quickly added: “It’ll be big enough to watch the Conference League, whoops! I shouldn’t have said that, I don’t mean that!”.
It was a dig that was quickly apologised for but shows the changing fortunes of the two clubs, what a difference a year can make!
