Lifelong Reds Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston made a welcome return to the big screen for Liverpool’s Christmas advert.
The pair reprised their roles as Manchester’s relatable TV family (Royle Family), with the former inspiring laughter with his hilarious quip to Darwin Nunez who had, on script, attempted to steal a mince pie.
All tongue in cheek, of course, and we’ve no doubt that our chaotic Uruguayan striker is as beloved to the cast members in question as he is to the entire fanbase!
