Successfully grabbed 3 points and sat on 2nd of the table after a crushing victory against Fulham, this will be a good remedy after the defeat against Arsenal, the league leaders, last week. Another win at Anfield means that Liverpool has won 5 from 6 home games (1 defeat against Southampton who sat on 3rd). Here I wrote possibly three positive results from the match vs Fulham
1. The return of Daniel Agger
Since his injury, Agger had not played in the last 3 league game before this game, and he has displayed superb defensive power which caused Fulham to only had 4 goal attempts and Mignolet got clean-sheet. Although he didn’t make an important block or intercept, but his presence brings us joy because most of us really wants him to play again
2. Coutinho was fit already
Our little playmaker played 90 minutes, made 9 shots and 3 successful dribbles, but barely made a goal. Unfortunate for him, but his creativity is what we need for the upcoming match against our neighbor Everton in Goodison Park
3. Alternative formation
Liverpool played 4 defenders, a formation which brought us 3 wins and 3 cleansheets in the opening 3 games. Although the formation had not been used since our first league defeat against Southampton (Game Week 5), I’m surprised that the lads can do well with this formation. It means that Liverpool can play with 3 or 4 defenders depend on the opponent, rich in tactics and could be unpredictable for the opponent
I hope the International Break won’t bring us bad favor so the good form can still continue. YNWA !
