The Liverpool players headed back to Melwood following their holidays yesterday, and began training for the pre-season tour which begins in Asia in a week’s time.
Brendan Rodgers had the chance to check out some of his new signings – with Nathaniel Clyne, Joe Gomez and Divock Origi (who spent last year on loan at Lille), all featuring heavily.
Our first match of pre-season is against a Thai All-Stars XI on July 14th, before we play two Australian sides, a Malaysia Xi and HJK before the first game of the Premier League campaign – away at Stoke – the venue of last term’s final day humiliation.
We can’t wait to see the new players perform in the friendlies, and hope some of the youngsters can suitably impress Rodgers before the start of the season.
