Hillsborough Justice

April 26, 2016 11:13 am, this was the exact time that all Liverpool fans had been waiting to hear for 27 years, “yes”. This was the answer to the question “where the 96 people who died unlawfully killed?” as soon as it was answered, justice had finally been found for all the families of the victims, and for Liverpool as a whole. Moments later it was also announced that no behaviour of the fans caused or contributed to the tragedy.

In that minute a huge weight was lifted from Liverpool football club and all of it’s fans who had been accused at the time of  stealing from injured fans as well as urinating on them, needless to say this was complete bullshit spewed from the cancerous mouths that is, (and I type the full name just because of the context) The Sun, who had accused us of many things and played a big part in the biggest cover up in history. This was without a doubt the most disgraceful act of any organisation of all time, the police and government (led by a witch) tried to put all blame on fans for the disaster when in fact it was their errors which had cost 96 people there lives. The mistakes are clear to me, firstly the stadium was not suitable for this big semi final match, it was already known 2 years prior, that there where some safety problems, why on earth they elected to go ahead we will never know. However, even if the stadium could have some ‘minor’ safety issues there where still silly and rushed decisions which led to the tragedy, firstly why was the kick off not delayed, you have thousands of fans who have paid good money to watch a big football match wanting to get in, they’re going to get more and more impatient the closer it comes to kick off, if they had delayed the kick off by half an hour everyone would’ve been a lot calmer, nobody would’ve minded and this whole disaster would’ve been avoided, also I understand the police had to open the gate because ‘they where scared’ this was a wrong decision, it led from a lot of fans in streets (able to spread out) to fans in clogged up stands and ticket entries (no where else to go), this horrific event happened because of errors made by staff running the game at Sheffield Wednesday and the police on the day, error after error after error, all they needed to do was make one calm, collected, intelligent decision to at least keep the chances of this disaster happening or if it was going to happen anyway keep the fatalities to a minimum.

This was not the case and as a result one of the darkest days in football history occurred, there is not much more to say on the tragedy itself, there was a corrupt biased Tory government in charge who clearly didn’t treat the north like the south, and wanted to cover up there mistakes by lying to us all calling the Liverpool fans “tanked up yobs” (Sir Bernard Ingham specifically, how he was knighted we will never understand).

We as a club and a fanbase can now put this dark weight behind us, and move forward, we’ve known the truth for years but finally no one can say we are lying. Liverpool have not won a league title since the Hillsborough tragedy, maybe it was some psychological curse, but if we can somehow pull off a small miracle next season and win it, it’ll be the most emotional football trophy we have ever won. And if we go on to win the Europa league this season, well that would be a lovely tribute to all those families who have suffered for so many years. I would also like us all to pay tribute to Anne Williams, the woman who was behind the whole campaign along with Margaret Aspinall, who wasn’t here with us today to see what she worked so hard for and put all her time into, if we could get #ThankyouAnneWilliams trending, it’d be a nice touch from the fan base.

Forget that one night in may in 2005, April 26th marks the day Liverpool recorded their greatest ever Victory. R.I.P 96 your Justice has finally been found.
