It’s only a matter of time before Gigi Wijnaldum is confirmed as a Liverpool player, right?
A £25m fee has been agreed, says every trusted source (such as Sky Sports), and the player will now fly to America to undergo a medical and join up with his new team-mates after signing a contract.
If this wasn’t proof enough, the Dutchman’s brother has taken to Twitter and shared a photoshopped image of Wijnaldum in the new Liverpool kit!
We’re pretty sure a player wouldn’t allow their sibling to publish such a post unless the move was done and dusted – so before it’s officially announced – take Giordon’s tweet as confirmation a deal is done!
The 25-year-old scored 11 Premier League goals for Newcastle last term and will become the second most expensive player Klopp’s ever signed – behind Sadio Mane a few weeks back.
