Liverpool fans, it’s mixed news on injuries to two key attackers

Sadio Mane looks set to feature in this weekend’s Premier League clash with West Ham after being declared fit, but Daniel Sturridge’s chance of playing remain uncertain.

Mane’s return will be a significant boost with the Senegalese forward currently posing as Liverpool’s top scorer with seven goals.

The former Southampton man will be crucial to helping his side mount a response to last weekend’s disappointing 4-3 defeat to Bournemouth.

News of Liverpool’s injury update comes according to the Liverpool Echo.

Mane was replaced during the second half of last Sunday’s game having supposedly picked up a minor knock. He has been key to his side’s attacking force this season and needs to maintain that form at a time when the team needs him most.

Already losing Philippe Coutinho through injury makes doubts over Sturridge’s fitness even more frustrating.

The striker didn’t travel to Spain with the rest of the squad and has instead stayed in England as he continues his recovery.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before we have him back.
