Liverpool’s Academy director heaps praise on impact of Michael Beale following news of his departure

For the past few years Liverpool’s academy has overseen the gradual development of a highly talented group of young players that have the potential to go on and be first team regulars, whether that is at Liverpool or elsewhere.

We have Michael Beale to thank for the contribution he has made as Liverpool’s U23s manager when it has come to helping the club’s young prospects continue to improve.

Liverpool’s Academy director Alex Inglethorpe did not hesitate to show his appreciation for Beale after it was confirmed that he would be leaving the club to take over as Sao Paulo’s assistant manager.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “Over the last four years I have seen Michael help coach a variety of players across differing age groups. He is a talented coach who has great potential to go on and make his mark within the senior game.”

“I believe that Michael has been integral to the development of many of our players who have progressed towards the first team and I would like to wish him and his family every success for the future.”

Not only has Beale set up a number of young Reds for careers at senior level, but he has also set one up for himself.

Liverpool’s U23s have come a long way in terms of the recognition the team is now getting. Fans are keen to keep up with their progress and know how the players are doing having been introduced to the level of talent Beale has been working with.

He can leave knowing he has played a vital role in giving many of those he has coached a great chance of enjoying happy and successful careers.
