The transfer window is now closed and has been for over a week now, just to remind everyone.
That seemingly hasn’t stopped the rumours though, with Liverpool being linked to a move for yet another supposed ‘wonderkid’.
“Liverpool are leading the hotly contested race to sign Ryan Sessegnon but Fulham want £15 million for their rising star,” reported Squawka.
The club are believed to have shown strong interest in the 16-year-old left back but are unsurprisingly not alone with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham also reportedly keen.
Sessegnon has caught the eye in the Championship this season, scoring four times and making two assists in 17 first team outings so far.
As great a prospect as he looks, staying at Fulham seems like an ideal opportunity for him to continue his development by getting more first team football for an entire season. There has been plenty of interest in his services even before his first professional contract has been activated.
The youngster is primarily a left-back but has displayed enough attacking ambition for many to view him as a potential winger.
