Liverpool release special edition £100 blue & white kit

With this year being the 125th anniversary of Liverpool FC, the club has released a special edition blue and white kit that pays homage to our first ever strip.

It’s based on the newly released away kit for 2017/18, but the green has been replaced with blue and only 600 of the fully boxed, commemorative versions are being made available – with rumours suggesting we’ll sell just 1892 in total.

Many fans will turn their nose up at the idea of buying a Liverpool strip which features the blue of Everton, but we played in blue and white stripes from 1892 to 1896!

Liverpool wore red shirts since, with Bill Shankly initiating the witch to all-red in the 1960s…

Ahead of the 2017/18 campaign we’re just waiting on the third kit, which New Balance have so far not released.

However, it’s rumoured to be a luminous orange shirt, similar to the blinding ‘Toxic Thunder’ we endured this season just gone!
