Today’s statement that Steven Cohen is finally gone off air is Justice for the 96.
This campaign was always about the 96, and never about anything else or anyone else but the 96.
Steven Cohen knowingly chose to lie about the 96, causing heartache and grief to the 96 families on Merseyside and Liverpool fans worldwide.
Today he has paid for those lies; the LFCNY does not exult the demise of World Soccer Daily but is particularly glad that Steven Cohen has been called to account for those lies and hate.
At this stage the LFCNY would like to pay tribute to the following that have worked tirelessly on this campaign; first and foremost and above all other Antony Ananins AKA Tony New Mexico, also The LFCNY brains trust, Allister Cairns, Justurlan, Charles Brown 1989 and Mel Abshire.

I had quit listening when he was bragging about chanting “Murders, Murders” to LFC fans during an LFC / Chelsea match. So I wasn’t the least bit shocked that he went ahead and said what he said. Anyone lamenting the passing of the show has only Cohen to blame. Anyone who decides to insult the holiest of the holy for any club opens themselves to the wrath of the affected. And when you decide to pass on lies and innuendo about one of the biggest groups of supporters, you know what’s coming.

Hey Peeps, lay off Antoine. At the end of the day Cohen should not have made any hurtful comments about Hillsborough because 96 people lost their lives that day. I live in Liverpool and I can assure you that the topic is still very raw. I certainly don’t condone what a very small minority of Liverpool fans have done with regard to threats made against Mr Cohen and as mentioned earlier I don’t condone what some chant about Munich. I think they are as sick as Cohen. Mr Cohen got what he deserves and that’s the end of it. The US should be thankful for this because they are getting a distorted view of the whole senario. As for the prat who said 96 wasn’t enough, you are sick mate, even 1 death would have been too much.
Cohen hasn’t gone off air the show has gone off air. “Today he has paid for those lies” yes he did but you fail to mention the reason the show is off air is due to threats against him, his wife and his kids. How is that Justice for the 96? Boycotting the show and it’s sponsors is one thing, threats and intimidation are another matter all together and nothing to be proud off.
Babalu, we have all criticized anybody who sends threats but this was not the reason why Cohen is finally off the air he used that “lie?” “excuse?” to save face with his faithful sheep.
If threats were made against him and his families I urge him to email me the full emails with their long headers and I will personally hunt those people down and expose them.
Some Liverpool ‘supporters’ have threatened H&G and RBS. What makes you think these idiots wouldn’t do the same to another of their ‘enemies’?
Babalu I received threats too but I will not accuse Cohen for these as I said this could be true and if it is I together with the majority of Liverpool supporters condemn this stupidity however Cohen has not provided proof of this. Tony New Mexico was threaten and he provided the proof so who would you believe?

Whilst i don’t agree with Steven’s opinions on the hillsborough tragedy i think its a shame America has lost a truly great Soccer specific show.

Mike, you are the moron. Liverpool supporters have a right to boycott World Soccer Daily and I don’t disagree with them.
I am Chelsea Fan and agree Mr. Cohen went over the top. As much as I enjoy a good day out and any victory over Liverpool, 96 people losing their life is a tragedy that should not be dis-respected. I believe Lord Taylor’s report as it is the closest thing to the truth on what really happened and should be the benchmark for went on that day. I am also in complete agreement of freedom of speech and press, which is why Mr. Cohen had every right to state his opinion, although what you say has consequences. God Bless Chelsea, England, USA, and also The 96 (including their family and friends), RIP.
