About Us
The purpose of this site is to promote L.F.C. worldwide.
As Liverpool supporters we need to commit ourselves to spreading the love for our club worldwide. Let us be evangelists and convert young souls into supporting the greatest sport team that has ever existed on this planet. We need to promote our culture, our history and our heritage.
As the great man once said, “My idea was to build Liverpool into a bastion of invincibility. Napoleon had that idea. he wanted to conquer the bloody world. I wanted Liverpool to be untouchable, to build the club up and up until everyone would have to submit.” – Bill Shankly
As usual we are always looking for writers from all walks of life, if you are interested in writing (in any language) please email antoine@empireofthekop.com.

I have been a Red for 30 years, growing up in the island nation of Malta during the 70s and 80s and then moving to the US in 1992. I am married with 2 boys and reside in South Florida. I do not claim to be a football expert, I am just a Liverpool Supporter who bleeds Red and has a lot to say :-). I am currently Director of Web Development at a travel company, my web development work has included companies in the UK, Malta & the US and ranged in size for very small businesses to fortune 500 companies. In 1996 I was the founder of the Maltese portal Search Malta. I do not know exactly how I became a Liverpool Supporter, I did not wake up one morning and say “I am going to support Liverpool today”, it was something that grew with me, it is more like a calling than anything. I am sure there are thousands of Reds who feel the same way I do. I do not remember Bill Shankly as a manager however I do remember Bob Paisley and the European Cup Final of 1981 when Alan ‘Barney Rubble’ Kennedy scored the winning goal. The 1984 final was the best LFC memory (until Istanbul) but unfortunately it was followed by Heysel a year later and then in 1989 the shock of the Hillsborough tragedy. I visited Anfield just 10 months after Hillsborough and I can still remember how I was moved to the Kop’s rendition of Y.N.W.A. The purpose of this site is to provide a global community and resource for Reds scattered all over the world. Y.N.W.A. Antoine |

My names Michael Owen and I’ve been a match-going red since I can remember. I’m originally a Road Ender, although over the last few seasons I’ve been sat in the Reclaim The Kop singing section, also know as Block 306. I’ve done a lot of writing for various Liverpool websites and fanzine’s in the past couple of years. I’ve had my own column on ShanklyGates.co.uk as well as various articles in one of the best known Liverpool FC Fanzine’s Red All Over The Land. I did run my own Liverpool FC website, known as Walton Breck Road, for a while, although I had to give that up due to other commitments. You may have heard of the fan stories book ‘Tales From The Travelling Kop’ I was one of the three people that co-compiled this book which went onto be very successful and raised a large amount of money for the Ray of Hope Appeal to help Liverpool legend Ray Kennedy with his fight against Parkinsons Disease. |

Thomas born in the small city of Linares, Chile, South America. From the early years he started with many different sport such as Basketball, Football and even skate boarding. Them parents are divorced since he was four and a few years later his mom and his brother and him moved on to the Chilean capital: Santiago. He were joined with the music since he was a little kid and from the end of the world a closed friend showed him after he broke up an strong relationship the Liverpool F.C. anthem. He listened to it carefully, deeply, as a musician can do and he fell in love with it. Since then, He started to follow closely Liverpool; Internet was so helpful to it ’cause at the beginning was the only way to know any notice about the club, and now, that he’s 22, is in love with Liverpool so deeply that he’s most wanted dream is to at least being at Anfield Road one time before he dies no matter what it takes. He realized that Liverpool is one big family around the world, and no one of them will never ever walk alone. In the short time he’s going to live Chile and go to Sweden and stay there for a few years, in the meanwhile, he has a tribute band to the English band Muse. |

My name is Ramez El Hajj. I was born in the 16th of december 1995. I am Lebanese and here in Lebanon I am one of the few Liverpool supporters, the majority goes to Real Madrid and the cheating Mancs. I have been a Liverpool supporter since I was 6. The first Liverpool game i watched was a 1-0 defeat against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok. The reason that made me love this club so much is behind Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard (and all the greatness that follows them), 2 legends at the club (although Owen would be considered as a traitor). I have never had experience in writing for any Liverpool website but i would like to start my career here because i know so much about this club, and every day i have my updates about it. |

I’m Nick and I’m a passionate fan of Liverpool FC. I obviously love soccer and I play it often, although I’m too good at it. I spend some of my time reading up on soccer news from both mainstream and fan websites. Although I haven’t been around long enough to experiences the glory days of Shankly and Paisley, I still love reading about those memories by those who have lived through that era and I love watching the team from those days play through videos on dvd or youtube. |
|
I write for a living, I run a film production company here in Los Angeles. My dream is to one day make it out to Anfield to see my boys play. Can’t wait to stand in the Kop and cheer on the club. I watch every game I can and keep up on the news constantly. I even converted my girlfriend into a Liverpool fan. My family is a football family, even though I’m ashamed to say my stupid brother is a shi**y Man U fan (they can suck it), and the other is a Barca fan. wtf? right. Its nice to know you’ll never walk alone. |

My name is Chris Grant, I have been posting recently on EotK under the name ‘Duckbox’ in the comments section, and I have been having a lot of fun! I am 22 as of yesterday and live in Belfast, Ireland. I am currently in University studying Interactive Media Design, and I am very passionate regarding anything digital, from web development to animation (I’m a Nerd). I am a father of one and I am currently engaged too. Most importantly, I am a die hard Liverpool fan, caught up in the mania and the love of the reds. I come from a very mixed football family, and in a time where supporting the Scottish League was the real norm, because of other silly factors regarding Northern Ireland where coming into play. But, when I started following the PL a few years ago, (after much brainwashing from my Uncle since birth) Liverpool was the team for me. I was watching a match with him on TV, and I saw the KOP crowd, and I was completely blown away from the atmosphere and the sheer noise of their voices. I thought that Celtic at Park Head was an awesome atmosphere, but nothing prepared my young mind for Anfield, even if it was buffered by a Television! |

I’m Rachael, 32, LFC supporter since I was in the womb – my mother was a Scouser and I was born in Liverpool. Everyone in my family is a Red; Bluenoses might well have been strangled at birth. I get up to Anfield as often as possible over the course of a season, but it’s never often enough – very excited about going on 8th August for the friendly against Atlético. I never miss a televised game, madly check sports news sites, and always start the newspaper with the sports page. Oh, and I have a tattoo on my leg that includes five big red stars for all of our European Cups! |

Born 10 August 1974, London. Though no football following in my family, I followed my older cousin who supported Liverpool – proabably because of their heroics of the late 70s. Thus my passion was born before I knew it. My 1st match – Liverpool v QPR – Loftus Road – 1990. 1st time to Anfield: 1992 – vs Newcastle. Moved to Liverpool 97-98! Saw many matches. Follow the Reds with a passion, disappointed with recent off field events. Strong believer that Rafa is best man for job, and Torres is becoming my favourite player – not just because of ability, but attitude too – he seems to respect the shirt! |

My Name is Brandon O’Shea. I live in Calgary Alberta In Canada, i’ve been a supporter for 4 Years now at age 16. I work in a soccer store and continuously check your site and updates. Im also following you on Twitter and am friends with you on Facebook. My dad has been a fan since i got him into it, and I am currently in my last year of High school. I’m also about to become part of the Official Calgary Branch of Liverpool Fans Club. |

DoB: March 1985 Location: South Florida A mad Liverpool supporter ever since I began watching football, and a rambling buffoon for even longer, what better place to combine those two ‘attributes’ than here? |

My name is Shafik Bakhach. I’m 17 years old and I will be starting International Relations at the University of Washington – Seattle campus. When the World Cup rolled around in 2006 I wasn’t much of a football fan. I had played the sport as a child but only because it was a family tradition. Slowly, but surely, I fell in love with the sport as the tournament progressed. While there were many big names such as Zidane, Kaka, Ronaldinho, and Beckham in that tournament, a certain individual stood out to me and that was Our Captain Steven Gerrard. His strike against Trinidad and Tobago left me in awe and wonder. Afterwards I was compelled to dig deeper and find out what club he played for. After learning about Liverpool’s glorious past I was instantly hooked. Now I am a proud Reds supporter that will never walk alone. |

James was born in Mtarfa, Malta, 2nd of February 1975, to English parents from Birmingham, who were there while his Father was in the Royal Air Force. His great Uncle is Ray Barlow, former West Bromwich Albion Midfield player, (http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/albion-legends/2008/01/15/albion-legends-ray-barlow-97319-20390471/). Yes we know that does not make sense as to why James is a Liverpool supporter, but we are getting there. After being born, he lived at RAF Brize Norton (near Newbury) and RAF Wyton near Cambridge. Now the good bit. From Wyton he was dragged to RAF Valley, Anglesey, North Wales in 1982 and now lived a a short distance from Anfield. One day Aston Villa (his dads team) were playing at Anfield, so James was taken as Villian but walked out a Red. After a move to Hong Kong and back Wyton, James has now settled near Cambridge, were he works in Science. James has played Football for local sides in the area, playing positions have been Forward, Right and Left wing as well as Right back. Aged 31 he gave up playing and now plays Rugby Union to keep the legs working. He also Tenpin bowls and has in the past bowled on the European Tour, one tour stop is his Birthplace, Malta! James never misses a live game even if there was a bedroom full of naked woman lol. On match days he has his LFC flag out the window, beer in hand and never turns off until the final whistle. He has now met his future wife, Phoebe, who is an Aussie and has taken to watching the beautiful game with enthusiasm. Her favorite player is Torres, not because he is pretty but because of what he can do. James has taught her well. James’s favorite player of all time is John Barnes, because of is wonderful dribbling skills and vision. Being lucky enough to see all of the 80′s, his choice was very hard as all those players were tops. These days he enjoys watching Gerrad of course, but Carra is more admirable, as he would do anything to help Liverpool win, he just does not care about himself. Well and here he is now and will be writing views on the management decisions, before and during the game and inviting your comments on what he has to say! |

A lifelong red of slightly more than 30 years, born in Liverpool, living in Windsor and making it back to a fair few games, I suppose I’m an ‘out of towner’ ! I enjoy writing in my spare time so though it’d be good to share my thoughts with a few people and see whether you agree or not ! What else ? How about a pet like and pet hate. Like ? The crowd’s quieter these days, but we still have the wittiest chants in the game. I love the banter of Anfield on a match day. Hate ? Any hint of booing and heckling. Yes we pay our money. But support the man in red. End of. That’s what sets us apart remember. |

My name is Jibran Khalil and I am 23. I am Supervisor Operations in a multinational IT firm here in Pakistan. I’ve been a true red since I was about seven. The reason I became a Liverpool fan is quite strange, all my brothers and cousins are hardcore United fans. A feeling of going against the tradition drove me towards Liverpool and today, i proudly stand as a die-hard Liverpool fan. Getting mature, I realized the strong family like bond that Liverpool fans share and my love for the reds grew stronger. Today i proudly stand as the head of the Liverpool fanclub here in my city that has over 70 active and dedicated members. As millions of others like me, I live with a dream of one day going to Anfield and singing at the sacred KOP while watchin Gerrard and company play. I am a lucky father of a beautiful 1 year old baby girl and no surprises, the first shirt she ever wore on the day she was born is that of Liverpool. |
|
I haven’t been a red for as long as some of the writers here, as my start as a supporter came when Liverpool traveled to my backyard, and beat Celtic 5-1 in 2004. After that, I was hooked. An American, I live in Connecticut where I go to university for Journalism. I am an aspiring football journalist, who covers the NCAA extensively, but really wants to eventually move up to covering the English game. I follow the Premier League, Championship, Champions League and Internationals like crazy. Football is the greatest sport in the world, and I am lucky to support the game’s greatest team. I visit Anna Liffey’s frequently, a Liverpool Pub in New Haven, CT; only the second one of its’ kind in the USA. It’s the heartbeat of Liverpool support in southern New England. |

My name is Amanda Musch and I’m 26 years old. I was born in Poland but I’m living in my fathers country – Germany, in the beautiful city Cologne. I became a Red because my passion for The Beatles and because all of my brothers are supporting ManU. I couldn’t identify with Manchester and I know, I did the right choice. My passion for the Reds never declined. I graduated as a TV-Producer this autumn and I’m studying sportjournalism now. Parallel to this I’m writing for diverse papers, working in the sport editorial department in a local radio station and in a Company which is producing sportcontent for diverse TV-Stations. I’m also writing about Formula 1 (www.jensonbuttonfans.com) , which is my second big passion. I have my own blog (myrubber-soul.blogspot.com), where I’m wiriting about everything what is interesting me: sport, movies, books, art, traveling and things like that. I’ve never been in Liverpool and at Anfield, but I hope I will be able to realize very soon one of my biggest dreams: to see my lads playing at Anfield. But I was able to see live Torres and other Reds play during the EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. A big highlight in my current career as an sportjournalist was an Interview with Sami Hyppiä in Leverkusen. It was a big moment for me. I hope, there will be more! :D My favourite players are Fernando Torres and our Captain Fantastic Stevie Gerrard. I never doubt in our players and I know that as a Liverpool Fan I’ll never walk alone. The tattoo on my arm reminds my about that every day. |

Once a Red, always a Red. It enters your blood and stays there, in the good times and in the bad times. I’ve been a Red ever since I started getting to grips with football and how beautiful a game it can be. In the early 80′s I was one of the founding members of the first Official Liverpool Supporters Club here in Malta, but being 16 at the time distracted me into other paths and I felt immature to be involved in something so important. The love, support and passion for the Club have never left me though. I’ve been visiting this site for months now and finally decided to give my contribution to make it just as Antoine wishes it to be, a global community of Kopites. |

Name: Maithri Jayasuriya Nationality: Sri Lankan Born: 1989 (UAE) Was never into football until we moved to England in 1999. It was only then that I watched football on a regular basis, and that ignited my support for Liverpool. I don’t know why I chose Liverpool – maybe because at the time Michael Owen was my favourite player, but whatever it was, it stuck, and I haven’t lost the same feeling of nervous excitement whenever I watch them play. It wasn’t so much a choosing, rather than something that just kept nagging at me. I didn’t consciously decide that I wanted to support Liverpool, I just noticed that I enjoyed football more when Liverpool were playing. Nearly 11 years now I’ve been in England, and that makes nearly 11 years of support for the Reds. Liverpool have never been my hometown team, and it probably will never be. However, I can’t stand people who pompously state that they support their hometown team as if that makes them better than someone who supports them from afar. Supporting a side isn’t dependant on your address. I’m not going to beat my chest and declare that I am LFC’s No.1 fan because unfortunately for wools like me, not living in Liverpool does mean that I can’t see them as often as I would like but I do try. I try not to wax lyrical about the club as well because it can get too cliched, and no-one like that (unless you work for MotD). |

MELISSA SEVERIN graduated from New England College with an MFA in poetry. She currently lives in Chicago, IL whilst unemployed which provides her the opportunity to watch a lot more football. So, it’s not all bad. She also eats her oatmeal everyday, goes jogging and says “in this economy” which help keep her positive. Her poems have appeared in print and online in the likes of MoonLit, 42Opus, Cultural Society, and other journals. Brute Fact, her chapbook, is available from dancing girl press. |

Hi my name is Thomas Wilkes, born on the 15th February 1993 and have been born and raised in Wales. I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since I was 7 and have been to watch them many times in Anfield and cup finals. The main reason I am a Liverpool supporter is because of my Dad, I was born and raised watching my dad scream at the tele over Liverpool. At 7 years of age you cant really make an informed decision of who you want to support but seeing as my Dad had already bought me a full Liverpool kit I couldn’t really do anything. Over the next few years I really got into supporting them and saw the pride, passion and belief the Liverpool supporters carried with them, and from a very early age I knew I wanted to follow Liverpool home and hopefully rather soon away. My first game I went to watch was The Worthington Cup Final in The Millenium Stadium when Fowler scored that stunning lob. I want to go into Journalism in the future but unless you live in a place in the UK like London it will be very hard to find a journalism job. |

Stephen Brandt is that guy everyone knows who loves football, and lives in America. Yeah Red fans boo that, Hicks and Gillette aren’t worthy of a club like Liverpool. While Stephen can’t play a lick of football, he’s out there trying. He’s worked for three clubs in his region, and hopefully will move up the ladder to a new league. With that being said Stephen can trace his roots back to the John Wark, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish teams, while only being 30. Stephen has also written professionally in local newspapers, and started many blogs, but has yearned for years to write about Liverpool. Stephen graduated from the University of Kansas as an undergraduate, and has a masters degree in sports administration from a university in the north. Oh and you can guess by his first name, that Stephen’s favorite player nowadays is Steven Gerrard, but is warming up to El Nino. |

I am Irwan, a 29 yr old Liverpool fan living in Singapore. I’ve been supporting the Reds since I was merely 7, due to the strong influence from my dad and one of my brothers. My love for the team in Red was also reinforced when I manage to catch John Barnes on Match Of The Day back then. Since then I have followed the team through thick and thin, even through the horrors of the Souness’s reign. I managed to catch the team twice live in action when they dropped by Singapore, first in 1992 and in 2009. My dream in life is to catch a live game at Anfield one day. |
|
Hi my name is Irfaan,a 20 year old Liverpool fan.I have been a Red since I was 14.Michael Owen and Robbie “God” Fowler(among others) were my hero at that time. And the 25th of may 2005 was the best day of my whole life.I will never forget that amazing feeling when Steven Gerrard (captain fantastic) lifted the cup.And of course the rising hero Fernando Torres was the best signing ever. I’ve been visiting this site for months now and finally decided to give my contribution and providing Liverpool videos, compilations as well as useful Liverpool links to Antoine(Another Legend-FACT)and other stuff. |

I was born in August 1976, at the beginning of the season that saw Liverpool win their 10th league title and their first European cup, so perhaps I was destined to follow the Redmen from Anfield. As much as I would like to be able say different, I cannot honestly say I remember their glory days of the late Seventies and early Eighties. In fact, the first game I remember looking forward to was the tragic 1985 European Cup Final in Heysel. I have happier memories of the first match I actually remember watching, on TV of course, being from Ireland. That game was the 1986 FA Cup final which confirmed Liverpool’s place in the heart of a young 9 year old. I dread to think what might have happened if the Bitters won that day! As a father of three, I am doing my bit with the creation of the next generation of Liverpool fans. In fact, I think my son’s first word was “GERRAAAARD” and his favourite dvd is ‘Ours to Keep’. I can safely say his first memory of Liverpool FC is the Istanbul Final, thanks to my constant re-running of it on TV. I look forward to our future just as much as I am proud of our past. You’ll Never Walk Alone! |
|
I am Kelvin Ng from Malaysia. I born to be Reds. My dad always tell me about the histories of Liverpool so that I am addicted to Liverpool. I feel my blood is the Liverpool Red in colour, so since i was 8 years old, I started my life with Liverpool. Steven Gerrard is my idol, ALWAYS! I have a big wish, that’s I wish all of the Liverpool fans can stick together no matter how, we have to win together lose together, this is what we called We’ll Never Walk Alone. C’mon Reds! Cheer Up!!! YNWA! |

My name is Gunnar, I’m nearly 18 years old and I truly love my LFC. I have to finish my A Levels in February and want to go to college when I’m done. In Germany it is like this: You are able to choose two main-subjects, one “normal” subject (the classes are a bit longer in the main-subjects) and one subject with an oral examination. My main-subjects are German and computer science. The “normal” one is religion and the oral examination takes place in English. When I’m leaving school I’ll go to college and study German philology. Afterwards I’ll move to England to study music to start my carrier as a teacher ;-) |
|
Been supporting Liverpool since i was a kid. Dont know how or why i choose them. But im glad i did. Now i just cant imagine myself without Liverpool FC. “My life revolves around LFC” is an understatement. The funny thing that i noticed is that after a loss, i support the club even more. My support just grows and grows. “At the end of the storm, is a golden sky” “Aim for the sky and you’ll reach the ceiling. Aim for the ceiling and you’ll stay on the floor.” Two famous Liverpool quotes that i always follow. |
|
Hi my name is Hugh and I live in the South of England. I have supported Liverpool from ever since I can remember. My Best memory was at Anfield watching Liverpool stuff Arsenal 4-0 on the 23rd December 2000 (best Christmas present ever). From then on my love for Liverpool increased and I have been an avid fan ever since and I naturally have a huge dislike of Manchester United. At the moment I am still at school but after that I am hoping to go to University in Liverpool and then amongst having to do a bit of studying I can buy a season ticket and finally be in the Kop for every game. My favourite player of all time is Steven Gerrard and I think he is the best midfielder in the world. Win, draw or lose we are always together and will stay strong to the end. |
|
I am a Malaysian residing in Egypt currently completing my honors in Clinical Pharmacy. Even though I am tied with heavy schedules what with classes and all, I would still make time for Liverpool, no matter what! I may not have had the chance to be at any games in Anfield, yet. I am no season ticket holder, but believe me when I say my thrive and passion towards this club is just as much. I started following the Reds back in 1996, in the FA Cup Final defeat to the mancs, and I haven’t stopped supporting ever since. There are too many unforgettable Liverpool moments that I could share with all of you, But I would only have this to say, Of all the years I had been supporting this club, I had never ever ever turned my back to its players and managers. Because it’s what we do! We will all walk through the storm, and Walk on we will with hopes in our hearts !! |
|
I’m 21 years ols, live in a town called St Helens (a short 20 minute train ride from Liverpool) and work for the UK’s leading mobile phone provider. I’ve been following Liverpool since I was old enough to know what football was, and fell in love with them more and more each passing year. My favourite memory as a LFC fan would be either Istanbul 2005 or beating Man Utd 4-1 in the 2008/09 season. My favourite players are Ian Rush, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler and Fernando Torres. |
|
Most people I know support either Man United or Chelsea, but I’ve been proudly calling myself a Red since 1997. My earliest memory of being a Pool fan is watching us beat Chelsea at Anfield in 1997-98. Patrik Berger scored a hat-trick that day(it’s still fresh in my memory). The following week,we lost 2-0 to Everton at Goodison Park. The reason that I fell in love with the club was the amazing fighting spirit shown by each and every player in the Liverpool shirt. Since that day,I’ve been cheering my team on through thick and thin. My dream is to go Anfield on a European night. Holding up a scarf and singing You’ll Never Walk Alone at the top my voice always gives me the shivers. I’m proud of being a Liverpool fan and love the club more than anything in this world. YNWA |

I am Dhruv Nehru, A resident of New Delhi, India. Till around 6 years back, nothing about the footballing world concerned me. After watching the Euros in 2004, I developed a mild interest in the game and looked forward to the English premier league that year. I didn’t know much about the league or the teams but when I saw Liverpool play for the 1st time, (I dont even remember which game it was) everything just clicked. I was completely in awe of Steven Gerrard, hamann and Riise, and slowly started getting to know about what the club stands for and its history (In fact I was so ignorant of Liverpool at that time, I was pleasantly surprised when I learnt that Liverpool were the most successful team around!!) I read about Heysel and Hillsborough and that further deepened my affection towards Liverpool. Slowly, my interest deepened and has now turned into a religious fanaticism towards the club. Most of my memories of these past 6 years have a connection with Liverpool FC and the pure joy that I experience everytime I see the ball kick off when Liverpool is playing is unexplainable, basically Liverpool FC is a part of what I am today. I am thrilled that now, through Empire of the Kop, I can now connect with thousands of my fellow reds from all across the globe and talk about the club we adore. You’ll Never Walk Alone! Dhruv |

My name is Ranvir Singh and I am 14. I live in Crawley in the UK and have been supporting the reds since I was 4. The first game i saw was when we lost 3-1 against Arsenal at Highbury in 2003. The reason I love Liverpool is because of my childhood hero Michael Owen. I used to love watching him score and he was a true legend for Liverpool. I never miss a game and try to get up to Anfield as much as possible! My favourite goal was Luis Garcia’s so called ‘ghost goal’ against small club Chelsea. At the moment I am currently studying for my GCSEs. I love this club more than anything and will try to write quality stories for all you reds out there. |
|
My name is Blake Salisbury and I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. Living in America is certainly tough on a football fanatic, but I have found ways to cope. I frequent a local pub that dedicates itself to show all fixtures in the Premier League. I knew from the very beginning when being introduced to football that I would be a red through and through. Supporting Liverpool just seemed right, and to this day it is my main passion. I go to Indiana University and I am majoring in New Media. I walk around campus with my Torres, Gerrard, or Carragher jersey with my YNWA scarf around my neck. I despise the Yanks as owners and as human beings. I have not been able to travel to Liverpool and catch a game, but it is a number one priority for me to do in the coming years. Since supporting LFC, I have gotten my father and my best friend to support them as well. I hope to meet other Liverpool fans, as it is hard to find any in the states. Just because Liverpool had a rough season doesn’t mean we won’t come back stronger. YNWA! |
|
My names Jemma Porter and I’ve been a Liverpool supporter ever since I was a little kid. I’ve lived in Liverpool for a couple of years now, and used to live just an hour down the road in sunny North Wales. I’m 21 and live with my fiance and 3 dogs! I have my own sports website at www.talkaboutsports.co.uk which is just a site for people to express their opinion about all the goings on in the sporting world. |
|
My names Matthew Jones, 20 years old, from a town called Mold in Flintshire, North East Wales, around 25 miles away from Liverpool its self. Currently studying History in Liverpool John Moores University. Have been a Liverpool fan since the age of 4, and my childhood hero is (unfortunately now) Michael Owen having lived just down the road from where he grew up. I hope to provide interesting and honest writtings for Liverpool fans across the world. I’ve never done anything like this before so abit of a learning curve for me. |

It all started on the 11th of September 1995. I was born then. I live in Ain el Roumaneh a small town in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. They tell me I’m cool and that’s cool… I listen to music, I like Coldplay… They’re my favourite artists. I love waching movies. I’ve been a Liverpool fan since the dramatic 3-1 win over Olympiakos in 2005. Enjoying every Reds’ game even when a loss. Everyone of my friends tell me to stop supporting Liverpool because it’s a losing team but I think that’s crap, they know nothing about Liverpool. I am Red to a point that my blood is red. |

Hi, I’m Liam Riddle. I wasn’t that interested in any football team until that fateful night in Istanbul. I just sat in shock as Liverpool turned a soon to be embarrassment into one of the greatest footballing victories ever. After that i couldn’t help but love Liverpool and learned so much about them and their history. I like to keep very well up to date on the latest Liverpool news and try to figure out the real and probable stuff rather than all the media rubbish. Anyway i hope you all enjoy my posts. |

I have been a Red for over 30 years, idolising Dalglish as I grew up and seeing Liverpool evolve from the days of dominating football, home and abroad. A passionate LFC fan based in Cambridge, UK, and enjoy making the most of social media especially in the form of Twitter to interact with other Reds, as well as utilising RSS feeds & apps at every opportunity for the latest breaking news in the game and at the club. I run a blog called “Kop That” centred around LFC views, news, rumours and opinions which continues to develop well. YNWA. |

I’m Arun Chowdhury, I’m an avid Liverpool, however i am real in the sense of what I see and what I write if the team plays poor I’m not afraid to say it. I’m currently working for a telecommunications company in Doncaster. I don’t have rose tinted view and have an extensive knowledge of football. I intend to do research and find out what’s going on regarding before writing my article. I’m not good at writing about myself but i’m sure you’ll find my articles enjoyable to read. |

I’ve now been supporting Liverpool for over 20 years, having initially been I’ve always felt it a pity that I couldn’t have seen more of Liverpool’s On Twitter @Adrian_Houghton |

I have been a LFC fan since about 1986. I started going to Anfield in about 1987 and went as regularly as I could considering I was living in Stafford at the time and was still at school with my dad and my younger brothers. I went to the cup final against Wimbledon back in the late eighties and remember being convinced that we were going win and then the long drive home afterwards when we lost. I last saw a match at Anfield in about 1994 and have sadly not been able to go back since, but I do watch the matches on television when I can and am a regular viewer of Match of the Day during the season. My current favourite players are Stevie G and Fernando Torres. |

I hope you enjoy reading my articles and feel free to give me feedback on whether you agree or disagree with my opinions. Cheers, Corey. |

I’m Denis, 31 yo, french Red living in Juvisy. I’m nurse assistant in the biggest european hospital “la pitié saleptriere” in paris, The day i felt in love with LFC , is the night that our Reds played one of their biggest match ever, in may 2005 in istanbul. I was watching the game without really knowing very much about Liverpool except what you can ear and read in medias, and i was absolutely shoked by this amazing match… I felt in love with the massive history of the club, traditions, values, the stadium, key players from past to present. In my own life I learnt that we have to fight and never betray our ideas to reach honestlty targets wanted, and to do that we have to work hard every days. That’s why Liverpool FC appeared to me as the football picture of my values. One year later, I went in Rush Bar (pub of the French Branch, official branch of LFC supporters in France) to see matches and share this « love » with others supporters. Coming in Rush Bar for european cup and premiere league matches became a tradition, and love became passion… a passion never felt down, even in hard moments. But I think that, to become a true supporter, everyone as to make criticisms, trying to reflect, to understand what happens each day about our club, i think that’s the only way of carrying of traditions, values and identity of LFC. Favourite player: the one, in my opinion, representing my idea of a top class football player, who never give up, always keep the head high whatever happens, still fighting with desire and daring, without cheating: Dirk Kuyt. Favourite match: I can’t choose between our home match in CL against Chelsea won on penalties (the Rush Bar was plenty and atmosphere crazy) in 2007, and the match won at home again in CL against Arsenal 4-2 in an unbelievable scenario (there’s a third match i’ll always remember, it’s our victory away against fulham 1-0, two years ago, we deserverd so much winning the match, we tryed all possible to do it, and when Yossi scored at the last second, i cryed as if we won the championship). To finish, I just want to say that, whatever happens to the club, glory and sad moments, the importantest thing is to still be proud and honnest of our values and traditions which make us atypical supporters and Liverpool FC the most massive club in the world ;) |

I grew up in Flint in North Wales (about 30 miles from Anfield) and have been a Liverpool Supporter for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember what first drew me to the Reds as most of my family are Everton fans but luckily for me I bucked that trend. I went to my first home game when I was 8 years old and watched Liverpool demolish Sheffield Wednesday 5–1 and have been an avid follower ever since. For the last 4 years I have been living in the East Midlands so do not get to Anfield as often as I would like but I rarely miss a televised game. Writing for me is a new thing brought on mainly by the fact that much of what I read in the mainstream press is fairly average and I thought I could do at least as well. Writing about a subject that I am so passionate about comes easily and it is good to get feedback from true fans who know what they’re talking about. @markpstevenson on Twitter |

My name is Sriram Satish and I’m a sophomore at New York University, studying Finance and Information Systems. I became a fervent Liverpool fan only a few years ago, but I’ve made every attempt at watching each match that I can online, and when I study in England for a semester I’ll be heading up to Anfield more than once. I haven’t made it around to joining LFC NY but I should probably get on that… YNWA |

My name is Boo and I am the webmaster of the Liverpool Supporters Club Malaysia (LSCM). I have been with LSCM in my present capacity for the past 2 years… but I have been a member of the Club since its inception in the late 90′s. My fascination with Liverpool began when I was in primary school back in my hometown island called Penang. My thoughts then had always been at this team that sat pretty at the top of the English Division 1 in the late 70′s. Players like Ray Clemence, Phil Neal, Kevin Keegan and later on David Fairclough the super-sub would resonate in me.. Soon Dalglish, Barnes and Rush would endear to me immensely into the 80′s.. And who can forget the Grobbelaar antics with a rush of blood screaming out to clear the ball way out of his penalty box. Ah what great days.. and we shall look to the future with Roy Hodgson.. Life supporting the REDS has been a journey.. it may have a beginning.. but really, there’s no ending.. Cheers all the way from Malaysia !! |

My name is Bill Watson and even though I might be a yank I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since my British born father bought me an LFC Candy shirt as a little boy. I’m sad to say I’ve since lost the old shirt but have grown to replace it with nearly 15 LFC shirts since then. I’ve also got some cool training vests my mates bring over when they visit America. I’m often known around my workplace to fall “ill” during what I call weekday 3:00 LFC matches (8:00 yours.. I’m supposed to work until 5). I take vacation and sick time to watch them play Champions league football and I’d definitely trade a couple of toes or a pinkie finger for the right to hold Anfield tickets. I love the Reds and I’m glad to be a part of a web-site that feels the same. Thanks for having me. My other interests include American sport, writing, video games and all the other typical stuff a middle 20 something American will do. If you ever fancy a go at FIFA against a yank who really does play it properly you can catch me on the Xbox at Bro Core 6×3. Other than that I’m a pretty laid back bachelor and heavy drinker trying to make his way in the world. My latest hobby is this website and meeting and tweeting with the people involved. You’ll be the first to see the pics of my Liverbird tattoo once I can muster up the funds! Promise. |

Hi my name is Courtney Rimmer. Those of you from the Merseyside area will know Rimmer is heavily linked to Southport, 20 minutes north of Liverpool. My Dad’s side of the family are all Blue Nose’s sadly, however I selected the path of the Liverbird due to my brother Anthony who has been a Kop Season ticket holder for over 15 years. I played football for Preston North End until I was 16 and was released, then pursued a Football (Soccer) Scholarship in the States for four years. This has obviously hindered the amount of games I got to see at Anfield, but have always jumped on the back of a extra ticket. I am glad to say I got to watch from a game from the original standing Kop. Favourite game Champions Lge Q/F, Second Leg: Liverpool 4 Arsenal 2. Also had the pleasure of meeting King Kenny in person. Favourite players past and present: John Barnes, Robbie Fowler, Carra |
