The BBC reports that Andrea Dossena is expected to be sold to fund part of the deal. Where is the rest of the money coming from? Rumours have mentioned Alvaro Arbeloa leaving however I personally doubt this.
My opinion is that Rafa wants to boost the right back position so he is not stuck having to play Jamie Carragher in that position when Arbeloa is unavailable. With Both Johnson & Arbeloa there should be enough cover in that area.
