The big news this morning was that Tom Hicks Junior was forced to resign after his abusive email to a Liverpool Supporter.
This of course caused a shake up in the board with Philip Nash, Ian Ayre and Casey Coffman joining the board. Philip Nash & Ian Ayre both have executive positions at LFC so the obvious newcomer is Casey Coffman.
Casey is the one who is replacing Jr. to protect Hicks’ interest in the board, she is loyal servant of Hicks. The Dallas Business Journal recently mentioned her as a “Woman to watch” within the Dallas business community. In an interview she gave with the same magazine she listed Condoleezza Rice as a Historical-Role-Model. (full interview here)
This does not excite me, I was never a fan of the Bush administration and quite frankly Condoleezza Rice was a miserable failure as Secretary of State and now we have a member in our board who looks up to her.
Simply great.
