Hodgson’s sacking must be imminent

Away blues reign again.

Last night’s 3-1 defeat at Blackburn has all but sealed Hodgson’s fate. He was out of his depth right from the start. His insistence on tactics not central to Gerrard and Torres has failed to bring the best out of both of them. Baffling transfers, selections, and ridiculous moans to the media.

We’ve had enough. Hodgson’s inability must cost his job. The rot must stop. We’ve had a disastrous 2010 on the road, and this must not be allowed to continue. We have the 4th worst away record in all 4 divisions of English football. Something has to give.

It’s been long overdue. Fans have wanted him out since FSG took over in October 2010. Surely they have had enough time to look at Roy’s record, and concur up a fair assessment on whether he is right for this club.

98% of fans want him out, a petition has been set up, on a scale of infinite protest, which also booted H&G out.

It is time the last man walking on the discredited era of H&G leaves.

I don’t wish reflect on the game at Ewood Park. No one wants to read another depressing match report. Nor do I have any mood to type it out either. Just go Roy, just go.

Rumours are circulating that Hodgson’s sacking is imminent. It has looked increasingly inevitable for the past few weeks, only for this defeat to accelerate it. According to well placed sources, a press conference is called for 10am tomorrow.

Make of that what you will, but my gut is that Hodgson’s sacking will be announced and Kenny will be appointed in the interim.

We’re waiting. Fingers crossed. That this is the end of Hodgson’s era, and a bright beginning for Liverpool Football Club.
