“You never know”: Popular Reds star refuses to rule out future Serie A move

Liverpool attacker Xherdan Shaqiri says he cannot rule out a move back to Italy in future, although he is happy at Anfield for now having signed in the summer from Stoke City.

He played for Inter Milan for six months at the start of 2015 before joining Stoke where he stayed for three seasons.

Three Premier League clubs reportedly want Reds striker in January

Via the Daily Star, the Swiss international said: “I had some good times [in Serie A], and I couldn’t criticise Inter Milan ever.

“A lot of players joined in that winter, such as Podolski, Kovacic, myself, and a lot of changes were ongoing.

“Go back to Italy? I’m fine at Liverpool, but you never know.”

Shaqiri has made a big impact so far at Anfield and we definitely wouldn’t want to see him leave any time soon.

It’s highly unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would want him to go anywhere either. It certainly isn’t a transfer that is imminent – more one for the very distant future.
