Liverpool transfer target Marco Reus discusses Premier League interest

Liverpool are among a host of clubs interested in signing Marco Reus…

Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, and both Manchester clubs, but the German star has claimed he isn’t think about his future.

As the Daily Mirror states, the 25-year-old has been regularly linked with a move for several months, stretching back to the summer transfer window when he turned down a new contract with his current employers.

All of the interested parties will be aware that the £20m buyout clause in Reus’ contract can be activated from next summer, and are desperate to set up some sort of agreement with the player, or his club, before then.

However, Reus has insisted that he hasn’t given any thought to his future and remains focused on Dortmund: “At the moment there are a lot of people talking about my future,” he said in a statement.

“There is a lot of speculation and a lot is being written. So I would like to take this opportunity to say that other people are thinking more about my future than me.”

The Premier League quartet are likely to face competition from Bayern Munich, who have poached stars from their Bundesliga rivals in the past two summers.

However, Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has angered Dortmund by revealing his club’s interest in Reus – after also making the player’s buy-out clause public.
