(Video) Harvey Elliott scores his first goal for the Reds against Oldham

Liverpool’s U21 team lost 3-2 to Oldham in the EFL Trophy this evening, but Harvey Elliott was a bright spark all game.

The former Fulham man netted his first goal for the Reds in what was a decent outing for him. You can watch the video of the goal below, as he reacts to a rebound following good work from Curtis Jones.

Elliott played 65 minutes in the match until he was replaced by Jack Bearne. Having impressed in pre-season in brief spells for the first-team, it was exactly what he needed to kick on again.

The winger will be glad to have gotten off the mark in a red shirt straight away. Sometimes, players can start to feel the pressure if they don’t net early on in their careers.

Elliott is going to be a fantastic player to watch over the coming seasons; he’s such an exciting talent.
