Los Blancos want Pedro Chivrella…
Real Madrid are keen on signing Spanish wonderkid Pedro Chivrella from the Liverpool youth sides, reports the Daily Mail.
Chivrella skippers Spain Under-18s, and has been compared to his idol Xabi Alonso, because he likes to control tempo and dictate possession with his wonderful array of passing from the base of midfield.
We signed him from Valencia a year ago for just £200,ooo, from under Real Madrid’s noses, but it now appears that the Champions League holders might come in and try to sign Chivrella again.
He’s yet to make a first-team appearance for us, but he’s been training with the first-team, and has reportedly impressed the senior players with his technical ability and intricate zipped passes.
Chrivrella is tied to a professional contract with Liverpool, so the Spanish giants would have to agree a transfer fee with us before they could be given permission to speak with the youngster.
There’s a chance of course that we’ll be forced into accepting an offer if Chivrella’s head is so seriously turned that he demands to be allowed a move back to his home country.
