Surely we can aim a little higher than Joel Campbell…?
The Metro have (quite spuriously) linked Costa Rican attacker Joel Campbell with a January loan move to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old shone for Olympiakos last term while on loan, and enjoyed an excellent World Cup too – but Arsene Wenger hasn’t given him a single Premier League or Champions League start this season for the Gunners.
As a result, the player is itching for a move, and Arsenal are likely to grant him a loan move in January until the end of the season before offloading him permanently in the summer.
Everton and Swansea are also sniffind around him, both of whom seem more likely destinations.
The story actually emanates from fichajes.net in Spain, who we can assure you have no insider knowledge as to the transfer targets of either Arsenal or Liverpool.
Most fans would agree that if he isn’t good enough for Arsenal, he shouldn’t be good enough for us, either.
