It would take a ‘sensational’ offer from Liverpool to land AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy…
AC Milan no longer consider Stephan El Shaarawy unsellable, although it would take a ‘sensational’ offer for either Liverpool or Arsenal to land the Italian international in the January transfer window.
Reports in Italy confirmed earlier this month that Milan were willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old, but according to the Daily Star, they would only agree to sell if they received a highly tempting offer.
El Shaarawy has scored 25 goals in 90 games for Milan since moving from Padova in 2011, but 19 of those came during the 2012-13 season. He managed just nine appearances last season due to injury, and has only netted once this term.
There is plenty of interest from across Europe in the player, with Borussia Dortmund and Roma also among the top clubs weighing up a move, along with the Premier League pair.
But the 22-year-old’s agent Manuel El Shaarawy insists that any move for him next month would have to be huge to tempt Milan into a deal.
He said: “I have not been contacted by Borussia Dortmund, nor by Roma, nor by any other club. Stephan will not leave Milan in January unless there is a sensational offer, the type that no-one can be sure will arrive.
“He is at the centre of the Milan project, and the relationship with the Coachand the environment is excellent.”
