Mario Balotelli hasn’t done great, admits his agent…

The Italian’s agent, Mino Raiola, knows his client needs to improve to succeed at Liverpool.

Balotelli is not doing well, but must remain calm and work hard. Nobody questions his qualities and I am not worried,” the agent said.

“Now you do not hear talk of his private life and this is already a big improvement.

“We forget that he had an injury that kept him still for long and until he’s 100 per cent, we will not be able to judge. It’s not easy to go abroad and fit in a sports project, you need time.”

Martin Skrtel set to be awarded new term Liverpool contract…

Martin Skrtel is set to extend his seven-year Anfield stay by signing a new terms on the deal which expires in 2016.

The Slovakian recently turned 30-years-old, but is clearly the centre-back that Brendan Rodgers trusts the most at the heart of his defence.

Skrtel recently declared that his ‘heart is with Liverpool’, and he’s expected to sign as a result.

Alvaro Arbeloa could be re-signed from Real Madrid…

The defender Liverpool sold to Real Madrid in 2009, Alvaro Arbeloa, is being lined up to ease some of our defensive problems this January.

The 31-year-old Spaniard can’t get in Los Blancos’ side right now, and he’s eager to leave and boost his first-team chances as a result.

Arbeloa is eyeing a return to Liverpool, who for the right price, could do with his experience and defensive nous.

Daniel Sturridge is nearing a return to fitness…

Our star striker took to Instagram yesterday to hint that his return from the injury which has kept him out since August is imminent…

Sturridge uploaded a picture of himself in his football boots, along with caption, ‘Let’s get it,’ with rumours suggesting he could even make the bench for the weekend clash with Aston Villa.

Liverpool could sell Lucas if they manage to sign Fabian Delph this month…

With Aston Villa’s Englishman Fabian Delph available for a bargain price due to his contract situation, we could sign him permanently for less than £7m this January.

If this occurs, reports suggest that we’d be happy to offload Lucas to Serie A, with Napoli and Inter Milan both interested in the Brazilian anchorman’s services.

Surely we wouldn’t be so stupid to sell one of our most important players, right now…?

Raheem Sterling is ready to sign new long-term contract, but only because Brendan Rodgers is staying put…

Wonderkid Sterling will commit his future to Liverpool, after being assured that the man who brought him to stardom, Brendan Rodgers, will be staying at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

According to a Goal source:

“Raheem and Brendan are very close and there was a worry about the future of the manager.

“But Liverpool have given assurances and they insist that recent reports that they were considering his position are far from the truth and they are committed to him – which is what Raheem wanted to hear.”
