Will Liverpool make a late move for Ezequiel Lavezzi this month…?
The rumours linking Ezequiel Lavezzi with a move from Paris Saint Germain to Liverpool continue to dominate the tabloid newspapers, with the Metro the latest to link the Argentine with Anfield.
Lavezzi, 29, has fallen out of favour with the French champions this season, following a high-profile bust-up with manager Laurent Blanc, who has ordered the club bosses to sell the player.
According to the source, Liverpool have been monitoring the situation for some time and were put on red alert when Lavezzi, along with striker Edinson Cavani, was disciplined for arriving late for a winter training camp.
Tottenham are also interested in the Argentine, who featured at the 2014 World Cup last summer, with several teams from across Europe likely to go head-to-head over a potential deal.
The player, who joined the Ligue 1 side from Napoli in 2012, has scored 25 goals in 109 games since the switch, but has netted only twice so far this season.
