Daniel Sturridge potentially out for rest of the season, says boss
Simon Mignolet as Liverpool’s player of the season – not as crazy as it sounds?

Depay had been linked with Manchester United recently, with the Manchester Evening News reporting last week that his agent tweeted a picture of the club’s training ground, leading to speculation that talks were imminent. Given his links with Louis van Gaal, having worked with the Dutchman at international, it appeared that they could be the main stumbling block preventing a deal.

However, according to Tony Barrett of the Times, ourselves and Laurent Blanc’s men are the only clubs that have held talks with the 21-year-old, who guided PSV Eindhoven to their first Eredivisie title in seven years. The winger has 21 goals this season, and is therefore only battling his teammate Luuk de Jong – who has two strikes less – for the golden boot.

It may be tough however, to compete with PSG for the wonderkid. Their wealth could mean they are able to offer a much more lucrative contract, and they are almost certainly going to be playing in next season’s Champions League.
