Hull City
Andrew Robertson
The 21-year-old left-back is the best of a relatively uninspiring Tigers bunch. If Steve Bruce’s men are relegated, he’d surely become available, and wouldn’t be the worst option to bolster the left-back position.
Leicester City
Esteban Cambiasso
The legendary Argentine has been superb for the Foxes, who look like they could avoid relegation against all odds. He’s available on a free this summer, and as a squad option, could provide the experience and steel in midfield that will leave when Steven Gerrard departs to MLS. We could naturally sign more exciting midfielders, but this could be Rodgers’ ‘Gary McAllister moment’.
