I received this letter from the 23 Foundation.

Dear all, it’s almost ten years to the day since Liverpool went to Turkey and made history. Istanbul, on May 25th 2005, was the scene of a miracle. Liverpool come back from three goals down at half time to win the Champions League against AC Milan. It’s a night it’s hard to imagine could ever be bettered for Liverpool fans, to win Europe’s biggest trophy is one thing but to win after it looked like it had dropped out of our hands like a brick adds is hard to put in words. It’s easier to put into goose bumps, or the hairs that stood up on the back of your neck, or that lump in your throat or that dirt in your eye.

From the despair of being so far behind on so big a stage to the joy of that last penalty save and the realisation that the European Cup really was on its way back to Anfield.

Steven Gerrard’s off to Hollywood but he’s already been there, along with Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia, Jerzy Dudek, Xabi Alonso, Milan Baros, John Arne Riise, Didi Hamann and even Djimi Traore.

Ten years on from that momentous moment in Reds history we have arranged for a limited number of signed shirts to be made available, all of which will be signed by the original 2005 squad.

To order your replica shirt please write to Mike Lepic at the 23 Foundation, mike@jamiecarragher.org with your full postal address and preferred payment method (paypal, bank transfer or cheque payable to the 23 Foundation). All orders will be handled on a first come first served basis while shirts last. THE SHIRTS WILL BE SIGNED IN PERMANENT MARKER AND ARE NOT PRE-PRINTED.

The shirts will be sent by recorded mail and are £395 each plus shipping.

All SIGNINGS ARE HAPPENING ON THE 25th OF MAY OR JUST AFTER. STEVEN GERRARD AND JAMIE CARRAGHER HAVE ALREADY SIGNED THEM.
